Blood Donation

Blood Donation

We believe that access to a safe and sustainable blood supply is a fundamental right, and we work tirelessly to make this vision a reality. Our passion for blood donation is rooted in the understanding that accidents, medical emergencies, surgeries, and diseases can strike anyone, anytime. In such moments, access to a readily available and safe blood supply can mean the difference between life and death.

How we do it:

  • Blood Donation Drives: We organize regular blood drives in collaboration with hospitals, educational institutions, and corporate partners.
  • Donor Education: We strive to create awareness about the critical need for blood donation and encourage individuals from all walks of life to become regular donors through workshops, seminars, and community outreach programs.
  • Blood Collection: We maintain state-of-the-art blood collection facilities equipped with the latest technology and stringent safety measures. Our blood collection vehicles are staffed by skilled professionals who oversee the collection, processing, and storage of donated blood, ensuring its quality and safety.
  • Donor Recognition: We believe in celebrating the generosity of our donors. We honor individuals who have made significant contributions to our cause through our donor recognition programs. Their stories of hope inspire others to join our mission.
  • Emergency Response: In times of crises, we play a critical role in mobilizing emergency blood donations. We work closely with hospitals and blood banks to ensure that a steady supply of blood is available to meet the needs of accident victims, surgical patients, and those battling life-threatening illnesses.

Bird and Animal Welfare

Bird and Animal Welfare

We firmly believe that our responsibility towards creating a better world transcends human boundaries. With this ethos at the core of our work, we have embarked on a journey to care for the often-overlooked members of our ecosystem – the animals, birds, and all voiceless creatures who share this planet with us. Every month, we diligently distribute bird feed and cow fodder as part of our ongoing commitment to supporting local wildlife and livestock. This regular distribution effort not only helps maintain the health and vitality of birds and cows but also strengthens our bonds with the community, fostering a collective spirit of care and responsibility towards all living beings.

How we do it:

  • We kickstarted our Bird and Animal Feeding Program in the year 2015. Through this project we have been distributing 5 kilograms of bird feed daily at various prominent locations in Jaipur, such as Bhairon Ji Ka Mandir, the Airport, Peacock Garden, Malviya Nagar, Saras Dairy, Gandhi Nagar, Vidhan Bhavan, Janpath, A.G. Office, Statue Circle, Vivekananda Marg Circle, Albert Hall, Ram Niwas Bagh, J.L.N. Marg, Ajmeri Gate, New Gate, and Sanganeri Gate.
  • We place bird feeders and clean water pots at crucial locations to help birds survive the heatwave, get respite from the relentless sun, and finally, lots of water to keep them hydrated.
  • Our love and devotion for cows has taken the shape of various cow welfare activities, such as regularly providing nutrient-rich green fodder, repairing cow sheds, and building cool, well-ventilated shelters.

Education

Education

In today's competitive job market, it's not enough to just have technical skills - you also need the professional skills to communicate effectively and present yourself confidently. The demand for specialized training in communication skills and soft skills is at its high due to boom in retail, hospitality and BPO sectors in the country; however, access to such courses by the youth coming from poor communities is very low due to various socio-economic problems. With a noble vision of transforming the under-privileged youth to be the best they can be, Shri Gopal Krishna Sewa Samiti team has identified “New Age Skills,” also referred to as “21st Century Competencies.”

How we do it:

  • Our training programme offers unemployed youths the valuable opportunity to receive free soft skills and personality development training and secure assured job placements in reputed corporates throughout the country. Reputed hotels and industrial units offer placements to the participants of the program.
  • With a focused agenda of upgrading life skills among impoverished children, we collaborate with like-minded organisations and conduct awareness sessions to teach them life skills such as how to overcome obstacles, make wise decisions, and have fulfilling lives. This training emphasizes practical skills that are necessary for social integration, personal growth, and economic independence.
  • By using moral and ethical stories, we inculcate values among pre-schoolers of backward pockets of Jaipur. We collaborate with various public schools to enhance a child’s quality of life, both physically and mentally.
  • With the alarming increase in child sexual abuse incidents, we work on-ground to reverse sexual exploitation in any small way we can. We undertake collaboratives initiatives with our sister organization (Yana Education and Social Welfare Society) to highlight before children the difference between appropriate touch and inappropriate touching.

As stewards of our environment, we embrace the responsibility of sensitizing citizens directly and through digital platforms to help Mother Nature now, today, and tomorrow.
  • Our commitment to extending our services to animals, birds, and all voiceless creatures is a testament to our belief in a more compassionate and interconnected world. Together, we can make a positive impact on both human and non-human lives, forging a brighter future for all.

Preventive Healthcare

Preventive Healthcare

We at Shri Gopal Krishna Sewa Samiti are dedicated to changing lives for the better by providing access to healthcare services. To promote wellness among vulnerable communities, we organise medical assessment camps that include general health check-ups ranging from dental examinations to BMI evaluations for children. Every month, we organize comprehensive medical health camps and preventive mental well-being lectures and seminars.Alongside these camps, we conduct lectures and seminars focused on preventive mental well-being, aiming to educate the community on maintaining mental health, recognizing early signs of mental distress, and adopting effective coping strategies.

How we do it:

  • We, along with our sister NGO (Jeev Sewa Samiti), provide all types of eye treatment in local and rural areas (through free eye camps).
  • We provide free medical camps in areas that don’t have easy access to them. We believe that everyone has the right to quality healthcare, and we make an effort to reach those who need it the most.
  • In collaboration with our sister concern (YANA Educational and Social Welfare Society) and in association with pathological labs, we conduct preliminary health checks for height and weight (BMI) for underprivileged children. We also issue medical cards for each child.
  • We inculcate oral hygiene and handwashing habits among underprivileged children. At multiple events, over 100 aanganwadi children were taught about proper hand hygiene in a fun and engaging way, by way of documentaries followed by an interactive session and live demonstration. We provide an assortment of dental and hygiene kits for the children in order to eradicate the malice of poor handwashing habits.

Food & Nutrition

Food & Nutrition

Our organization strives to promote the well-being and happiness of orphans, caretakers of patients, and senior citizens by addressing their nutritional needs. Every month, we take significant steps towards supporting vulnerable groups by sending fresh fruits to orphanages and old age homes, ensuring that the residents receive nutritious and wholesome food.

How we do it:

  • We identify genuine orphanages that are striving hard to support the orphans, and provide better care to the children. We provide fruits each month for the children and work with orphanage closely to support their programs.
  • Similarly, we support old-age homes by ensuring that elderly residents in old age homes receive regular and healthy food and fruits. Our programs aim to ensure that nutritious fruits reach those in need, individuals living in old age homes who don’t have resources and support.
  • We distribute food packets to poor patients & their caregivers outside hospitals. Through our initiatives, we strive to provide nutritional support to caregivers of patients, ensuring they receive the care and nourishment they deserve.
